Using the calculator

How do you calculate the value of Telegram Stars?

Three multiplications, all using Telegram's own published rates. Web purchase price is Stars × $0.0141, from Telegram's stars_usd_sell_rate_x1000 config field. In-app price is Stars × $0.0201 — the same rate with the app stores' 30% commission added. Cash-out value is Stars × $0.013, from stars_usd_withdraw_rate_x1000. Local currency is then a single exchange-rate multiplication on top.

Is this Telegram Stars calculator free?

Yes, and there is nothing to install or sign in to. It runs in the browser, does not touch your Telegram account, and never asks for a wallet address — no legitimate calculator needs one.

How many Telegram Stars do I need to make $100?

Does the calculator use live exchange rates?

Yes. Star rates are Telegram's own published figures, which barely move. The currency conversion uses mid-market exchange rates refreshed every six hours, and each page shows when they were last updated.

Why does the calculator show three different numbers?

Because a Star has three prices, and using one of them for all three jobs is how people end up with the wrong answer. What you pay in the app, what you pay on the web, and what Telegram pays you back are genuinely different rates.
